About Me

Education & Experience
Masters of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Denver, Colorado, 2009.
Juris Doctorate (JD) from Seattle University School of Law in Seattle, Washington, 1994.
Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Society and Justice from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, 1991.

Prior to beginning my counseling career, I worked in Corporate America for over seventeen years; in industries ranging from advertising to engineering.

License, Certifications & Awards
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My Colorado license number is 6241 and it expires on August 31, 2013. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. My Certification Number is 254597 and it expires on April 30, 2017.

Professional Activities and Memberships

I am a current member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and of the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA). I am the current President of the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA).

Theoretical Orientation
My preferred theoretical orientation is eclectic and includes approaches adopted from a variety of theories; including client-centered; cognitive-behavioral; and experiential. While I do not believe that one theoretical approach works for every individual, I do believe that that the relational rapport built between the psychotherapist and the client is critical to a successful therapeutic experience.
